At NO CHARGE to a homeowner, the Healthy Homes Initiative will provide cost-effective hazard assessments and interventions. Eligible homes will receive a Healthy Homes assessment.​​
Program funds can be used to provide a variety of services, including:

What is the CSP Healthy
Homes Initiative?
Community Service Programs of West Alabama (CSP) is excited to announce the launch of Healthy Homes, a HUD-funded program that promotes childhood wellness and safety by addressing 29 hazards commonly found in homes.

The Healthy Homes Initiative makes your home a healthier and safer place to live by addressing the following major
hazards: mold, carbon monoxide, lead, allergens, radon, home safety, asthma, and pesticides
Eligibility Requirements
Applications are being accepted now from homeowners, renters, and landlords (on behalf of low-income tenants) in Bibb, Choctaw, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.
Eligible households must meet income limits and have children under six (6) live in or frequently visit the home.
